The BookBini Universe

Series come together
to build one Universe.

Just as Marvel films share one Universe, BookBini series continue inside their own Universes — like the Princess Universe where princesses live, the Toys' Adventure Universe of toy friends, and Bini's Storyland, guided by Bini.

One Universe,

What happens
next?

The moment a child wonders what comes next, English stops being a lesson and becomes something to look forward to.

  1. Curiosity about
    the story
  2. Reading the
    next book
  3. English, again
    and again
  4. A natural
    reading habit

Story First. English Follows.

Same story, deeper experience

English grows without
leaving a favorite story behind.

Read one story step by step, from kindergarten to middle school. The pictures stay the same; only the sentence length and vocabulary change. Below are real sentences from the same scene (Book 3, The Beach Day, Chapter 3).

STEP 1KinderAges 4–8 · about 800 words a book
Reno looks at Ttotto.
"Can you be a boat?"
"Yes! Wood can float!" says Ttotto.
Short, simple sentences for a first meeting with the story.
STEP 2ElementaryAges 7–12 · about 1,300 words a book
"I am made of wood," said Ttotto. "Wood can float! I have waited four years for this."
More dialogue and expressions for a deeper read.
STEP 3MiddleAges 10–15 · about 2,700 words a book
"Wood floats. This is the single greatest advantage of being made of wood and I have waited four years to use it."
Longer sentences and richer vocabulary build real fluency.
Two ways of speaking

American and British —
two different voices.

We didn't just swap a few words. Each edition is rewritten in the expressions and rhythms children really use in each country, and read aloud in that country's accent.

In the British edition,
two-thirds of every paragraph is newly written.

"It just keeps going. Where does it stop?"

"It just goes on, doesn't it? Where's it meant to stop?"

Reno

"Everyone all right?"

"Right. Everyone number off."

Reno

"How long do we have?"

"How long have we got?"

MoKa

"That's so much lower than I thought. Thanks, Pixel."

"That's loads lower than I thought. Cheers, Pixel."

Real lines from Book 3, The Beach Day. Highlights mark what changes between the two editions.

The story behind the names

Meet Bini, the book friend in the beanie

The Bini in BookBini

Bini comes from the beanie hat. Our book friend Bini wears a red beanie, and we borrowed the sound of “beanie” so children can say the name easily and remember it for a long time.
